The Texas Society for Music Theory will hold its 48th annual meeting on February 27 - 28, 2026, on the campus of Texas Woman's University, with Paul Thomas serving as local arrangements coordinator. All conference sessions will take place in either the Music Building/Margo Jones Performance Hall or the Ann Stuart Science Complex (numbers 5 and 9, respectively, on this campus map.)

Texas Woman's University may be reached via either I-35W or I-35E, and is approximately 40-50 minutes north of Fort Worth or Dallas. See directions for parking below.

By Air:
Texas Woman's University is approximately 30 minutes from Dallas/Fort Worth Airport (

Parking:

For Friday, attendees will need to print a parking pass for Maroon parking lots (see parking map). Parking Passes will be made available online for those who preregister for the conference. Parking passes will also be available for attendees at the registration table. Attendees may also park for free on the side streets near the Music Building. For Saturday, attendees may park in any lots for free.

Luncheon and Dining Recommendations:

A TSMT luncheon will be held on Friday in a private ballroom in Hubbard Hall (30 on the campus map and a 5-minute walk from the Music Building). The luncheon cost is $18.

We encourage you to register for the lunch with your TSMT conference registration/dues in order to keep things streamlined on the day of. Luncheon reservations are due by February 12, 2026. If you wish to attend the luncheon, please select it along with your registration payment.

The luncheon will be a Deli Buffet. Create your own deli sandwich with an assortment of artisan-baked breads, wraps, or Udi's gluten-free bread (available upon request). Sandwiches are served with house-made chips, a soup or salad, and house-made cookies and includes:

Other on-campus meal options in Hubbard Hall include Chick Fil-A, Qdoba, Oda's Indian Cuisine, and Kurogi (ramen). A Starbucks is located at the entrance of the Blagg-Huey Library (35 on the campus map).

There are numerous dining options in Denton. Some local recommendations include: Union Bear, Greenhouse, 940's Kitchen, LSA Burger Co., Andaman (Thai), Rusty Taco, El Taco H, Graffiti Pasta, and Mexican Oak.
